The dentists of Linden Hills Dentistry — Dr. Jane Puntillo, Dr. Matt Hawn, Dr. Kourtney Kuyper, and Dr. Carter Lukenda, along with their outstanding staff, provide exceptional dentistry with a personal touch, treating patients like honored guests. Linden Hills Dentistry offers comprehensive, gentle, care from preventive dentistry to cosmetic dentistry to endodontics and implants at reasonable fees.
The Dentists
Dr. Jane Puntillo
Dr. Jane Puntillo attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and completed a post-doctorate General Practice Residency at the Minneapolis VA Hospital where she continued to work as a staff dentist in the homeless clinic and teaching residents. She provides the highest level of comprehensive dental care and has a passion for making every patient as comfortable as possible by providing high quality, gentle care with a keen attention to detail. Dr. Puntillo helps her patients maintain and improve their oral health, quality of life, and appearance. She has advanced education in cosmetic dentistry, extractions, dental implant placement, root canals, denture therapies, Botox, and Invisalign. Dr. Puntillo values continuing education and outreach service including involvement in study clubs, Give Kids A Smile, Mission of Mercy, Team Smile, Smiles for Service, and Prince of Peace. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Minnesota Dental Association. Dr. Puntillo and her husband have three children and enjoying camping and hiking in the Boundary Waters, MN State Parks, and Montana.
Dr. Matt Hawn
Dr. Matt Hawn graduated Saint John’s University with egregia cum laude honors, University of MN School of Dentistry and a GPR (general practice residency) at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. Dr. Hawn brings his experience offering a wide variety of dental treatments including, implants, veneers/smile makeovers, sleep apnea therapies and other oral surgeries. Dr. Hawn has spent his career working in cosmetic offices in Stillwater, MN and Vail, CO. His passion is giving people a smile they’re confident spreading around. And turning the dreaded trip to the dentist into a fun experience. Dr. Hawn is beyond excited to join the team at Linden Hills Dentistry. In his free time, you’ll find Dr. Hawn golfing, skiing, or spending time on the lake.
DR. KOURTNEY KUYPER
Dr. Kourtney Kuyper graduated from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine and completed a general practice residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic hospital in Chicago. She has received advanced training in Invisalign, Botox (pain management and aesthetic) and oral conscious sedation.
Dr. Kuyper believes each patient’s treatment should be catered to their specific goals and personal comfort level. Her passion for helping her patients understand their dental condition translates to improved experiences based on trust and quality dental care.
When she’s not at Linden Hills Dentistry, you can find Dr. Kuyper at a fitness class, listening to live music or whipping up baked goods to share with friends.
DR. CARTER LUKENDA
Dr. Carter Lukenda graduated with distinction from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Following graduation, he continued his education by completing a post-doctorate General Practice Residency program at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. He gained extensive training in all aspects of comprehensive dentistry, including surgical procedures, Endodontics, sedation, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Lukenda strives to create a positive experience for every patient through open communication and a high standard of care. When he is not at the office, Dr. Lukenda avidly enjoys sports, the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Lukenda is thrilled to join the team at Linden Hills Dentistry and can’t wait to meet you!
As two of the guiding forces behind Linden Hills Dentistry, Dr. Kordie Reinhold and Dr. Peter Hinke have been trusted and beloved members of the Linden Hills community for decades. Dr. Reinhold, the founder, began serving patients in 1988, bringing a passion for cosmetic dentistry and a commitment to compassionate care that helped shape the practice’s patient-first philosophy. When Dr. Hinke joined the practice in 1995, he expanded its services and reach, complementing Dr. Reinhold’s vision with his own gentle and proficient style.
Together, Drs. Reinhold and Hinke created a welcoming environment grounded in clinical excellence and personalized care. Their shared dedication to community and patient wellness became the cornerstone of Linden Hills Dentistry.
Both doctors are familiar faces at many beloved neighborhood events, including the Linden Hills Dentistry Community Concert, Linden Hills Festival, Woofstock, Reindeer Day, the Lake Harriet Kite Festival, and Taste of Linden Hills. Their commitment to service extended beyond the clinic through involvement with programs like Give Kids a Smile, Team Smile with the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, and the Donated Dental Services program—bringing care and education to those who need it most.
Drs. Reinhold and Hinke both retired in 2024, but they continue to embody the heart and spirit of Linden Hills Dentistry, leaving a lasting legacy of warmth, excellence, and community connection.
Hygienists, Assistants & Administrators
As the practice has grown, Linden Hills Dentistry hasn’t lost its personal touch. The administrative and clinical staff at Linden Hills Dentistry take great pride in the quality of their work.
Our clinical team of seven assistants and eight hygienists are all highly trained and experienced as well as being friendly and passionate about the care of their patients. We are continually expanding our education by attending extracurricular courses and study groups. We are dedicated to providing our patients with the best experience and care possible.
Our friendly administrative team is happy to help coordinate appointments, discuss any financial concerns, as well as thoroughly explain the way insurance works in our office.
Our staff also gives back to the community through the annual “Give Kids a Smile” free dental care program, providing oral health screening, treatment and education to underserved children in Minnesota.
